Home Brewed Iced Coffee
A couple weeks ago I tried some amazing iced coffee at my friend Ashley’s house. Of course I had to know the whereabouts of this great tasting coffee, so my friend Ashley shared with me that she had started making it three days prior by soaking ground coffee in cold water. I’m an avid coffee drinker who LOVES coffee, so the notion that it could be made with cold water sounded ludicrous! Thankfully, The Pioneer Woman did not think so when she made up her great tasting iced coffee recipe.
I followed The Pioneer Woman’s Iced Coffee Recipe to a T, and it turned out fabulous! I will warn you that the recipe makes a lot, but I had found a large glass beverage dispenser on sale at Kroger last week. For the steeping process, we had a food grade bucket on hand from my husband’s
cider er’ vinegar making fiasco last fall.
I will make this often and keep it on tap in my fridge while the weather is warm outside. Although I’m having this first round with a bit of sweetened condensed milk, my normal preference is unsweetened with just a splash of half-n-half…what’s yours?
