Glitter Christmas Balls

This year I deemed that Christmas was going to be spectacular!  The tree was up the week before Thanksgiving and I thought that this year I would be super Martha and handmake every ornament on the tree.  Yeah, that didn’t happen – but I did get a few different ornaments made!

This was one of my favorites to make – so much so that I made a set for my mother-in-law as a gift.  I purchased some Christmas balls at the dollar store and used an old book I got at a yard sale – the rest of it was Elmers Glue and Glitter.  It was so easy, I tore the book pages into strips and dipped them into the glue and then put the wet paper on the ball.  Once I had the entire thing covered with paper, I sprinkled glitter all over it and let it dry.

This project was a little messy and sticky, but the results were worth it!

P.S. – If you are giggling over the title “Christmas Glitter Balls” you are welcome – it made me giggle too!
